The Wanted are set to premiere their much-anticipated video for their second U.S. single, "Chasing the Sun," tonight on MTV. And before the British boy band introduce the full clip and answer fans' questions, they gave us a little teaser.

In the 30-second clip, the fivesome travel the streets of Los Angeles in the middle of the night, with a pack of girls clinging to each of the boys. Intercut with shots of the band on a rooftop singing the chorus of the track, it seems as if the group is literally chasing the sun. Coming up to a gated door, member Tom Parker flashes what looks to be a sun tattoo on his hand, and the guard lets him pass into the sunlight.

Not much of the plot is given away in this clip, but when we caught up with the group on the set of the video earlier this month, they teased to their fans what they can expect.

"Our song 'Chasing the Sun' is basically about the party that keeps on going," Jay McGuiness said, with pal Max George giving a bit more insight into how that will manifest in the clip: "There's certain shots which we've just done now which are on a rooftop, and then we're filming all night until 6 in the morning, and then the last shot, I think, will be us just kind of walking away looking rather disheveled," George explained. This is the third video of the Wanted's that has been helmed by Director X, who previously worked on the video for their smash single, "Glad You Came."

"You always want to do better than your last song, and we've always set a really high standard with 'Glad You Came' already," McGuiness said. "But I think we know now from the singles we've got in our pocket, there's no way we're going anywhere. We're here to stay, and our songs are going to get better and better. I'm just bragging right now so hard."

Well, see if the Wanted live up to their expectations when they down with MTV News' Sway Calloway tonight at 7:53 ET on MTV during "MTV First: The Wanted." Immediately following the premiere, the band will stay for an additional 30-minute live Q&A on MTV.com and will be taking fan questions, so make sure you submit them via MTV.com or @MTVNews on Twitter, using the hashtags #MTVFirst or #AskTheWanted.

MTV's Battle of the Boy Bands is officially under way! On Monday (April 23), we opened first-round voting in our interactive bracket competition, where 32 bands, spanning all generations, will face off.

The fans determine who'll continue, who gets eliminated and, eventually who earns the title of Greatest Boy Band of All Time. So start voting now to make sure your favorite group advances to round two and beyond. And the bands aren't just going to stand by while you vote — they're already campaigning for your support as the the Wanted did in their hilarious video. Voting in round one closes on Thursday at noon ET. The tourney is sure to heat up before the winner is announced on May 7.

All right, it's time to reveal our list of the 32 competing boy bands. Read on as we break down a few key matchups in the first round of competition and sound off on our list on Twitter using the hashtag #BBB!

Vote for your favorite band, discuss and share on Facebook and Twitter in the MTV Battle of the Boy Bands interactive bracket!

Midwest
Backstreet Boys vs. Westlife: This will likely be an interesting first-round matchup since these two bands have one thing in particular on their side: longevity. Both groups have been around since the late 1990s, and while Westlife called it quits in 2011, the Backstreet Boys are still going strong, currently on a European tour with fellow boy-banders and tournament finalists, New Kids on the Block. Of course, BSB had worldwide success. Their 1999 album, Millennium, sold more 1 million copies in its first week. And Westlife, originally signed by Simon Cowell, had a hit song in the U.S, "Swear It Again," and ruled the U.K. charts with 14 #1 singles. Here's a fun fact: Westlife's first big break came in 1998 when they opened for the Backstreet Boys at a concert in Dublin.

Additional Matchups:
O-Town vs. the Jackson 5

98 Degrees vs. the Beatles

New Kids on the Block vs. Take That

East
'NSYNC vs. 5ive: Yes, both of these groups consisted of five members, but they actually have more in common than that. In 1998, 5ive embarked on a U.S tour with 'NSYNC, but soon after, left the tour due to exhaustion. Interestingly, both bands notably decided to call it quits at the peak time of their success. In 2001, 5ive had just released their third album when the lead single, "Let's Dance," became their third #1 in the U.K. They soon announced they were calling it a day. Similarly, in 2002, after 'NSYNC's second album, No Strings Attached became the best-selling album of the decade, the group released Celebrity, which gave the group three #1 singles. After a tour in support of their third album, they decided to go on a permanent break.

Additional Matchups:
LFO vs. 112

Jonas Brothers vs. Menudo

Hanson vs. BBMak

West
The Wanted vs. Color Me Badd: It's not only old versus new in this matchup, it's pop versus R&B. British boy band the Wanted have had much success overseas and recently found fame Stateside with their hit single "Glad You Came." The group's first U.S. EP hits stores on Tuesday and they just released their next track, "Chasing the Sun." But don't count out Color Me Badd: Much like The Wanted, this group had success early on in their career. From 1991 to 1992, the group had five hit singles off their debut album, including the smash hit "I Wanna Sex You Up."

Additional Matchups:
The Monkees vs. 2gether

Big Time Rush vs. All-4-One

Boyz II Men vs. Jodeci

South
One Direction vs. Day 26: This could be an exciting matchup since the two bands were assembled by two of the most influential minds in music: Simon Cowell and Diddy. British boy band One Direction got their start on the U.K. version of the "X Factor" and quickly took off from there. In March, their debut album, Up All Night, debuted at #1, the first time a U.K. group did so with a debut album . Day 26 also got their start on a television show, MTV's "Making the Band 4." In 2008, one year after their formation, the group released their self-titled album on Diddy's Bad Boy records; it debuted at #1 on the Billboard album chart.

Additional Matchups:
IM5 vs. B2K

NKOTBSB vs. New Edition

Another Bad Creation vs. Mindless Behavior

Voting is under way in round one of MTV's Battle of the Boy Bands and closes at noon ET on Thursday, April 26. Winners are determined by fan ballots, so if your favorite band made the cut, keep voting. Tune in to AMTV and MTV Hits daily for boy-band video takeovers. And don't forget to spread the word on Twitter using the hashtag #BBB and like us on Facebook for updates!

Ju-Ju-Be Micra Be Laptop Bag

Comfortable and compact, the Ju-Ju-Be Micra Be Laptop bag ($90, direct) protects tablets, ereaders, small netbooks, and other flat electronics very well without weighing you down. Constructed with an eye toward details, this multipurpose electronics bag has several features that point toward a long life: secure stitching, metal fasteners and zipper pulls, and tough but washable fabric. The only thing holding back this bag from donning your shoulder for a decade or more is that it's not available in classic prints and colors. A small selection of prints, including "fuchsia blossoms" and "jungle maze" (shown) may look dated sooner than you'd like.

The 1-pound bag measures 8.5 by 11.5 by 2.5 inches (HWD). It has two tiered front storage sections, plus a quick-access pouch in the rear. When unzipped, the main pouch hinges open to almost 90 degrees with two compartments on the inside for small gear and an elastic strap on the flap side to hold your tablet in place. An iPad fits perfectly, as do netbooks smaller than about 12 inches. I wish the elastic band had been on the inside, however, as that seemed the more natural location for my tablet, rather than the part that folds outward.

The Micra Be's perforated foam cushioning and breathable lining help ensure your devices can cool down when you slip them into the bag. A soft inner lining in the main pouch, and in the pockets of the smaller front pouch, protects your gadgets from getting scratched. The bag also comes with a matching drawstring purse (6.5 by 5.75 inches) for storing cables, a mouse, or other small components.

I love that the fabric is both machine washable and easy to wipe down with a damp cloth for spot cleaning. The adjustable messenger strap felt comfortable while I walked a few miles one evening carrying the Micra Be.

The Ju-Ju-Be Micra Be Laptop bag securely and comfortably stores your gear, and is built to last many years. For its construction, I recommend it highly, but for its print designs, I only wish Ju-Ju-Be included a few more classic options.

Galaxy Nexus, Viper and Optimus Elite now available on Sprint

Sprint Android phones

Today sees the launch of three new smartphones on Sprint's network. First up is Google's current flagship device, the Galaxy Nexus. Sprint has the CDMA/LTE variant, which is very similar to the Verizon LTE version currently doing the rounds in the U.S. There's the same 720p HD SuperAMOLED display and 1.2GHz dual-core CPU that GNex owners have been enjoying since late 2011, and we're sure Sprint customers will be eager to get their hands on their very own version of the current Android flagship.

Next up is the LG Viper, an entry-level 4G LTE device for customers looking for a good all-round LTE smartphone. Inside you'll find a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with NFC, Google Wallet and hotspot capability on top of a 4-inch WVGA NOVA display.

Finally, there's the Optimus Elite, which we got to play with just a few days ago at its launch event.  It's definitely an entry-level device, with a 3.5-inch HVGA display and 5MP camera. But if you're not looking for anything too fancy from your Android smartphone experience, you could definitely do a lot worse.

Global warming mystery: Some Himalayan glaciers getting bigger

The Himalayan glaciers are the planet's largest bodies of ice outside the polar caps. New research shows some Himalayan glaciers got bigger between 1999-2008.

Some glaciers in the Himalayas mountain range have gained a small amount of mass between 1999 and 2008, new research shows, bucking the global trend of glacial decline.

The study published on Sunday in the Nature Geoscience journal also said the Karakoram mountain range in the Himalayas has contributed less to sea level rise than previously thought.

With global average temperature rising, glaciers, ice caps and ice sheets melt and shed water, which contributes to the increase of sea levels, threatening the populations of low-lying nations and islands.

IN PICTURES: Disappearing Glaciers

The research at France's University of Grenoble estimates that the Karakoram glaciers have gained around 0.11 to 0.22 metres (0.36 feet to 0.72 feet) per year between 1999 and 2008.

"Our conclusion that Karakoram glaciers had a small mass gain at the beginning of the 21st century indicates that those central/eastern glaciers are not representative of the whole (Himalayas)," the experts at the university said.

The study appears to confirm earlier research that had suggested the Karakoram glaciers have not followed the global trend of glacial decline over the past three decades. The mountain range's remoteness had made it hard to confirm its behavior.

The Karakoram mountain range spans the borders between India, China, and Pakistan and is covered by 19,950 square kilometers (7,702 square miles) of glaciers. It is home to the second highest mountain in the world, K2.

"We suggest that the sea-level-rise contribution for this region during the first decade of the 21st century should be revised from +0.04 mm per year to -0.006 mm per year sea-level equivalent," the study said.

MELTING ICE

The Himalayas hold the planet's largest body of ice outside the polar caps and feed many of the world's great rivers, including the Ganges and Brahmaputra, on which hundreds of millions of people depend.

The world's glaciers, ice caps and ice sheets have shed around 4,200 cubic kilometres (1,007 cubic miles) from 2003 to 2010, experts suggest, which is enough to raise sea levels by 12mm over that period.

Stephan Harrison, associate professor in quaternary science at the UK's University of Exeter, said the new research had showed there is "considerable variability" in the global climate and in how glaciers respond to it.

The Karakoram glaciers are also unusual because they are covered with thick layers of rock debris, which means their patterns of melting and mass gain are driven by changes in that debris as well as in the climate.

Much of their mass gain also comes from avalanches from the high mountains surrounding them, Harrison said.

"Overall, the impact of melting glaciers such as these on sea level rise is known to be negligible, but it does mean that there is much more to be learned about exactly how the world's glaciers will respond to continued global warming," he added.

A separate study in February found that Himalayan glaciers and ice caps as a whole were losing mass less quickly than once feared, offering some respite to a region already feeling the effects of global warming. (Editing by Alessandra Rizzo)
